A platform-built website can load code for features it does not use, adding to what visitors have to download. With a custom build, we can control what each page loads and remove unnecessary code to help it load faster.

Custom features are one of the strongest reasons to build a custom website.
Squarespace, Wix and WordPress sites cover a lot through templates and plugins, and for many businesses that is enough. When you need something they do not offer, or not in the way you work, we can build it into your website, in your branding and on your own domain.
We quote custom features as part of your website. If you think of one later, we can quote it separately or build it on your Studio subscription.

Karolina Kuc, a freelance designer, often needed to exchange files too large for free transfer services. Her website now has its own file transfer, so she and her clients can send each other large files without needing a pro subscription with a monthly fee. Her clients see her name and branding throughout. A dashboard shows her each transfer with image previews, and lets her download files or extend how long a link lasts.

Live availability calendars
Olivo Villas takes bookings on more than one platform. Its property pages show availability calendars that stay in sync with Google and Airbnb, which helps avoid double bookings and lets guests see which dates are free.

One piece of work at a fixed price. A small custom website usually takes four to six weeks; larger software is often built in stages.

The launch rate applies to all work billed until 31 December 2027, and a fixed project price stays as quoted. The minimum subscription is three months, and you can give a month's notice at any time from the start of your third month.

- Pound prices are set in pounds, not converted. You pay in whichever you choose.
- Spain and EU consumers
- Spanish IVA - the Spanish name for VAT - is added.
- EU businesses
- With a valid VAT number you account for it yourself, under the reverse charge.
- Outside the EU
- Including the UK. No VAT is added.
You own the design, the code and the hosting account.
We put this on the page, not only in the contract.
Your hosting, your name
We publish the site on hosting in your name and hand over the logins at launch. You can remove our access at any time.
The design and the code
Both are yours, with no licence to renew.
Move it whenever you like
You can move to another host or developer and take the whole site with you. A platform site can usually only be rebuilt, not moved.
If you stop working with us, the site keeps running
It's built with standard tools, so you or another developer can look after it without us.
FAQ
Questions about working with us.
If you're building the site yourself on a budget, a platform is a sensible choice, and we'll say so. Once you're paying a professional either way, the comparison changes. The same fee buys either a template arranged within a platform's limits, or a site designed and built around your business that you then own. You're paying for the site itself rather than permission to use it.
